Mr. Austin Berry

Mr. Berry is in his seventh year of teaching. He has worked for over a decade with students, focusing on music education at various schools. Previously, Mr. Berry has also worked as the chorus director and band director East Burke Middle School, assistant band director at East Burke High School, band director of Bunker Hill High School, band director of John Chavis Middle School, and now the band director at Forestview High School. He has also taught private lessons at the middle and high school levels.

Mr. Berry completed his undergraduate degree in music education at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. He has performed alongside various ensembles including the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra! Mr. Berry’s favorite performance was when he performed for a crowd of over five hundred thousand (500,000!) people in Sainte-Mère-Église, France for the 75th anniversary of D-day.

When Mr. Berry is not at work, he enjoys spending his time taking care of his various pets and writing/listening to music. He lives with his wife, Makayla Berry, who he has been enjoying his life with for over 14 years.
